The GMZ4S is the third generation, highly integrated real-time video graphics scaling IC intended primarily for use with pixelated displays, such as LCD monitors, Plasma Displays, and LCD/DMD Projectors. The GMZ4S provides a high level of integration by assembling a high quality zoom and shrink scaling engine, frame rate conversion, an on-screen display (OSD) controller, a microprocessor and many other functions in a single device. This simplifies the implementation of multi-synchronous display controller systems, with lower cost and faster time to market.

GMZ4S features: (1)Two separate double-wide inputs (2 x 48-bits), for simultaneous (and glue-less) connections to an ADC and a TMDS interface (for SXGA and UXGA resolutions).; (2)Single input clock rate up to 108MHz (SXGA 60Hz).; (3)Double input clock rate (half-rate) up to 101MHz (UXGA 75Hz).; (4)Support for Composite SYNC input; (5)Progressive scan and vertically interlaced inputs accepted.; (6)Programmable position of captured image within input frame.; (7)Digital color control of captured data, including brightness and contrast adjustment, and gamma correction.; (8)Single or Double pixel output; (9)Up to 135 Mpixels/second; (10)Support for various aspect ratios; (11)Optional data compression with minimum quality loss for flexibility and system cost saving.
